Does your body feel stiff? Have you lost the strength and flexibility you used to have? Do you have back or neck pain? Do you have knee, wrist, shoulder or other joint related pain? These problems usually occur due to unhealthy changes in your muscles.

你的身體感到肢體僵硬嗎?你的肌肉群是不是已經失去了往昔的強度與靈活性?你有背痛或頸部酸痛問題嗎?你有膝蓋、手腕、肩膀或其他關節的疼痛嗎?這些問題通常都來自於你的肌肉已經不再健康所致。

Psychological stress, bad posture, sitting too long, over-exercise or lack of exercise, injury, and or a diet that includes too many toxins results in joint and muscle inflammation. This causes your body to lay down fiber on the involved muscles, which strengthen the muscles initially but then leads to the following:

精神上的壓力、不良姿勢、久坐、過度運動或缺乏運動、受傷、以及毒素過多的飲食,都會導致關節和肌肉發炎,使得相關的肌肉產生纖維化。這樣的過程原本是身體要增加肌肉強度的生理反應,但是也將會產生如下的狀況:

-          it makes muscles tight causing them to lose flexibility

-          肌肉變緊,因為肌肉會失去彈性

-          it reduces the length of muscles so your range of movement is also reduced

-          肌肉長度變短,而導致活動範圍受限

-          it stops regular blood flow so your hands and feet may feel cold or cause headaches

-          血液循環變差,使得手腳容易冰冷或造成頭痛

-          it increases the pressure on joints leading to joint pain, inflammation, arthritic changes, reduced disk space and disk damage

-          增加關節的壓力,造成關節疼痛、發炎、關節炎惡化、椎間狹窄與椎間盤損傷

-          it increases pressure on nerves causing numbness, muscle weakness, and even loss of muscle size.

-          增加神經上的壓力,導致麻木、肌肉無力、或甚至肌肉萎縮

 

To stop these destructive changes, 3 things must be done.

要停止這些異常病變,要作到三件事情。

Firstly, the original source of the injury must be stopped. This may mean changing your posture, the way you use your computer, exercising more or changing the way you exercise, cutting down, changing your diet, etc.

第一,必須阻止造成傷害的來源。這表示你可能必須改變姿勢、使用電腦的習慣、增加運動或停止目前的運動模式、停止攝食某些食物、改變飲食等等。

Secondly, you need to stretch out the involved muscles. This releases the pressure in the joints, disks, and nerves, and restores normal blood flow.

第二,你需要伸展相關的肌肉群,以紓解關節、椎間盤和神經的壓力,同時恢復正常的血液循環。

Thirdly, you need to strengthen the muscles. Since fiber is created in part due to muscle weakness, strengthening muscles can stop the fiber process altogether.

第三,你需要訓練肌肉的強度。因為肌肉纖維化之所以產生,是由於肌肉的無力,因此訓練肌肉的強度,可以阻止肌肉繼續纖維化。

You Get All 3 From Kodiko Stretching

Kodiko肢體伸展課程裡,你將會學到以上三者。

Firstly the mind-diet-body aspects of your problem will be explained so that you stop the source of the damage to your body. Secondly, you will be assisted in stretching your muscles through various stretching methods so that the normal flexibility is (at least 5 methods of stretching are taught per muscle group including compression stretching… a method developed by Dr. Lenis during his work with the Greek Olympic Athletes). Thirdly you will learn how to strengthen your muscles and joints, and keep them flexibly through natural movement body weight exercises that you can do anywhere without the need for any equipment.

首先,我們將會解釋心靈-飲食-身體三者的互動關連性,讓你了解該如何阻止身體繼續受到破壞。其次,我們將透過各種方式協助你伸展肌肉,讓肌肉恢復正常的彈性(每一肌肉群至少會進行五種伸展方式,包括壓迫性伸展,這是藍寧仕在希臘奧運代表隊期間所發展出來的方法)。第三,你將會學到如何強化肌肉與關節,並且維持身體的靈活度的方法。這些方法是運用你自己的身體重量進行運動,所以你可以不受場地限制,也不需要任何器材。

For this class you need to wear flexible clothes like a track suit or something you would wear to a yoga or aerobics class. You also need to bring a big size towel and yoga mat.

參加本課程必須穿著寬鬆的服裝,例如跑步運動服、或是瑜珈服、或有氧運動服。你還需要自行攜帶一條大毛巾和瑜珈墊。

Special Note: As this class involves 2 days of physical activity, its only recommended for people that maintain a reasonable level of fitness.

特別提醒:本課程包含有2天的身體活動,因此提醒參加者須有一定程度的體能狀態。

 

Training for Professional Level Kodiko Stretching

Kodiko肢體伸展專業師資級訓練

This training is for those that want to become Kodiko Stretching practitioners, which includes personal trainers, athletes, dancers, massage therapists, physical therapists, Chiropractors, or people interested in natural healing. You will learn how to deal with all sorts of muscle and joint fiber related problems including sport injury, chronic back and other joint pain, frozen shoulder (Deltoid Bursitis), disk and nerve compression problems, and other musculoskeletal problems related to muscle fiber accumulation.

這個訓練課程是特別為想成為Kodiko肢體伸展指導人員的人所設立,例如個人運動教練、運動員、舞者、按摩師、物理治療師、整脊師、或是對自然醫療有興趣的人。你將會學到如何處理肌肉與關節的酸痛問題,包括運動傷害、慢性背痛或其他關節疼痛、五十肩、椎間盤與神經壓迫問題、以及其他因肌肉纖維化所造成的肌肉骨骼問題。

There are 3 levels of the Professional Kodiko Stretching training program. Upon completion of each level students will be asked to assist in teaching classes and private consultations until their level of skill is well demonstrated. Upon graduation students receive the Dr. Lenis Yamas Institute Certificate for Professional Kodiko Stretching Practitioner.

專業師資級Kodiko肢體伸展指導人員訓練包括三個等級。完成三個等級訓練的人,我們將請他在課程與個人諮詢中擔任助理,直到技能完全熟練。畢業的學員將獲得藍寧仕醫師Yamas Institute的專業Kodiko肢體伸展指導員認證。

 Level 1

第一級

The class covers all the basic stretches as applied to all people including athletes. As part of this study, you must learn all the major muscles of the body, their range of motions, nerve and blood supplies, and exercises to strengthen muscles. You must also learn all the conditions and contraindications of stretching to avoid any type of injury.

本課程涵蓋所有的基本伸展,可用於一般人及運動員。在課程中你將需要學習身體的各個主要肌肉群、肌肉的活動範圍、神經與血流的供應、以及透過運動來伸展肌肉的方式。你必須學到所有在伸展過程中會發生的的狀況與限制,以避免運動傷害問題。

Level 2

第二級

This class includes training on actual therapeutic applications. You learn palpation skills to determine problems in muscles through touch, and training on advanced methods of compression stretching that allow instant improvements to all muscle fiber pain and or problems. In this level, the compression techniques are limited to use of body parts as compression tools including fingers, hand, elbows, and knees.

本課程包括訓練治療技巧的實際應用。你將會學到徒手接觸以找出肌肉問題的技巧,以及透過進階的壓迫伸展來快速改善肌肉纖維疼痛問題的方法。在這個階段,壓迫伸展時使用的都是身體的各部位,包括手指、手、手肘和膝蓋。

Level 3

第三級

This class focuses on the use of compression stretching tools. There are 2 types of tools used: Body weight tools and power assisted tools. The purchase of these tools is required to attend this class.
