How it Works

2500 years ago the ancient Greek Philosopher and mathematician, Pythagoras taught a new way of thinking and living. He believed that like musical notes all things had specific frequencies… an idea now proven by modern physics. Every object in nature has its own frequency regardless of how big or small it is.

Pythagoras taught that nothing happened by pure coincidence because all events are influenced by the energy frequencies in our environments, regardless whether they are visible or invisible. Today we also know this to be true because there are always a number of factors that create the events in our lives, some known and some unknown. For example, if someone was to get sick, many factors could be the cause such as poor hygiene, stress, and other visible factors, but there might also be invisible factors such as the energy frequencies known as electromagnetic fields that can interact and disrupt the body’s normal functions.

So for the most part, Pythagoras’s thinking was much like modern thinking except for one area that is in how numbers were understood and used. Modern science uses numbers to count things and to measure things, like the frequencies of a musical note or the frequency of an electron. Likewise, Pythagoras also used numbers to count or measure things, but he also considered the character or essence of each number. For him, each number had a personality, a character, a strength, a weakness, etc, and therefore could be used as a symbol for anything else with the same essence.

Language of Numbers

A good way to understand this way of using numbers is to think about digital code, the language of computers. We use two numbers 1 and 0 to run computers. All the images, sounds, and functions of computers only need these 2 numbers. Similarly, Pythagoras’s system used numbers to represent all things in the world.

A similar technique is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine where all things are seen in terms of 5 elements. By seeing things in terms of what elements they represent, you can easily identify what foods to eat, what exercise to do, and what sort of therapy will heal you.

In Kodiko Numerology the number 4 could represent the color green that is the 4th color of the rainbow, the 4th musical note, anything to do with the feeling of security (since 4 sided shapes create stability and security), and so on. So any object, thing, idea, or situation could be represented with a series of numbers. Numbers were a language that allowed you to see the correlations between things and therefore predict how the frequency of things influenced your life.

This is a very practical and powerful theory as it allows you to see the world in totally new ways. You could use it to understand what factors were influencing your life, to protect against dangers, and identify unseen opportunities. Pythagoras’s ideas were so powerful that his students passed the information through time making a huge impact of philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, and scientists through out time.

Superstition?

Unfortunately over the last few hundred years Pythagoras’s philosophy was corrupted leading to what we now call numerology, which has become a type of superstition. Numerology states that your name or your birthday determines your fate, which is not what Pythagoras taught. Pythagoras’s philosophy is that things around us brought influences, including names, birthdays, etc, but these did not determine our fates.

It is absurd to believe that every person in the world born on the same day might have the same personality, as numerology predicts, or that all twins have the same personality because it is simply not true. However, it cannot be denied that numbers, names, and other things we use to describe ourselves do bring us some influence just as listening to music can change the way we feel. Used in this way, numerology can be used in a non superstitious way, the way Pythagoras originally used it. In other words, if you wish to use Numerology to understand the influences on your life, you also need to look at your interests, way of dress and grooming, ethnic and religious background, favorite foods, whether you are the first, second, third, etc, child, health conditions, body type, and many more things. Each of these must then be converted to numbers and analyzed to see what are the strongest numbers influencing your life. Then, from the meanings of each number you could translate that information back into practical and useful information that could allow you to improve the quality of your life.

This application of numbers is the basis of the Kodiko System. After researching Pythagorean philosophy over the last 20 years, Dr. Lenis created the Kodiko system based on Pythagorean Numerology in the way Pythagoras originally used it. Kodiko is a Greek word meaning secret code and Dr. Lenis chose this name since he believes each human being is a unique individual and can use the Kodiko System to find out what is unique about themselves. Once you “know yourself”, you know your secret code, and as the ancient Greeks believed, will have the secret to the most important thing in life. For once you know yourself (Kodiko Part 1 Seminar), you will know how to take care and develop yourself (Kodiko part 2 Seminar), and unleash the power of your intuition so that you find your life purpose (Kodiko part 3 Seminar).

The Kodiko System includes training on Kodiko numerology, mind-body healing techniques for emotional and physical healing, stretching and fitness training, low temperature cooking and nutrition, relaxation and stress fighting techniques, intuition development training, and much more. It is a total mind-body wellness system that puts you in control of your health, relationships, career, and life in general. It can help keep you healthy with a flexible and youthful body, reduce your stress, improve your communication and sales skills, enjoy healthy relationships, and even develop the full potential in children. All these things are possible without needing any equipment or special products. All you need is to start learning how to understand the language of numbers!

Kodiko and the Mind-Body Connection

In Kodiko there are 3 main factors (Mind, Diet, Body) that determine mental and physical health as seen in the follow triangle:

These 3 factors are intimately related so that an imbalance in one area will affect the other 2. This is commonly referred to as the mind-body connection, but in reality it is the mind-diet-body connection.

The following triangle shows some of the most important factors behind the mind, diet, and body factors.

These factors give you many ways of boosting your health. For example, when you are under stress, your immune system is weakened and you might get a cold or other health problem. However, if you eat the right food and avoid toxins like allergies and food additives, breathe better quality air, get more sunlight, your chances of getting sick go down a lot. Then if you also take care of your body correctly that includes more sleep, the right amount of exercise and stretching, go for regular massage, have more sex, and get more hugs, then you can handle the stress and will stay healthy.

Kodiko also helps you fight the stress directly by helping you develop your talents, helping you to keep your emotions healthy, and help you stay focused on your life purpose.

Kodiko and Inflammation

In most traditional medicine systems including Chinese medicine and Indian Aervedic Medicine, health is a result of balance. When the balance is lost the body can over heat or over cools resulting in disease. In Chinese medicine, foods are even categorized in terms of whether they will heat or cool your body, which allows you to eat in a way to keep your body in balance.

Up to just a few years ago, western medicine looked down at this concept. They believed disease was a result of bacteria, viruses, fungus, toxins, and other identifiable factors. This may be able to explain infections like the common cold, but it doesn’t explain why when people are exposed to a cold virus, less than half actually get the cold. It also doesn’t explain chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, auto-immune disease, and many other serious health problems.

On March 2004, Time magazine and on Washington Post Feb. 16, 2003 a new concept was brought to public attention that is gaining support in the western medical world… that inflammation was the true cause of all disease. Bacterial infections, viral infections, and all other health problems were in reality due to too much inflammation.

Inflammation is part of the immune system of the body… in fact it is the first response. The quickest way to understand inflammation is to think of what happens when you fall and twist your ankle or get a bruise due to an injury. The area swells up and is painful to touch. This happens because the damage caused by the injury sets off a long list of interactions. First, the blood vessels to contract and so reduce the blood flow into the area to prevent bacteria or damaged tissue from entering the blood stream and going to other parts of the body. Hormones and other chemicals that call white blood cells to come and clean out the damage are released and travel through out the body. Other cells around the injured areas start working to release fiber, the body’s method of gluing together injured tissue. These and other steps are all part of the inflammatory process.

Inflammation not only occurs in response to an injury, it happens in response to eating toxic food, pollution, toxic additives in cosmetics and personal care items, chronic injury, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, on going disease, stress, and the list goes on and on. The bottom line is that the body is constantly under attack from all sorts of environmental factors and responds by inflammation.

Inflammation is good because it protects the body from attack, but when there is too much of it, too much of what is called systemic inflammation, then the immune system is overwhelmed and health breaks down. Another way to understand this is to think about war. When a country goes to war, there are definite limits to what its army can handle. If there are too many fronts opened, the army can be quickly depleted of resources and will lose the battle. Similarly in the body, each source of inflammation is one front. If too many sources of inflammation exist at the same time, the result is a breakdown of health that could mean anything from catching a cold to a break out of cancer.

This understanding of inflammation tells us that to stay healthy, you must keep inflammation down, and most of the things this includes is seen in the Kodiko Triangle above. These include to enjoy your life and be happy, to take in the right nutrients and avoid toxins, and take care of your physical needs. In other words, to fight inflammation, you need to know yourself and live a lifestyle that fits your psychological and physical type. Stated in this sense, Kodiko is a way to know yourself and help you design the perfect lifestyle to minimize inflammation and maximize your life quality!
